Thanks for your message and suggestions, I disassembled the chair and started again putting the sling in first and then using clamps as you suggested….and it worked!!! so a case of at first you don’t succeed…..I haven’t tried this method yet with all of them, so let us keep our fingers crossed as I’d much rather not have to send them back!

It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Bob from the Aussie Repairman.
I had spent months trying to chase down a supplier in Sydney and even E-bay that could supply proper sling fabric we have in Australia.
All my efforts had failed due to local and overseas sling not being of the same material.
Google searches kept showing the “Aussie Repairman” which offered a service for repairs etc and some great truthful advice about pricing.
I took a punt and contacted the company to find Bob, which was extremely helpful in replacing my broken sling.
His humble nature and professionalism towards his knowledge, Definitely gave me comfort knowing I wasn’t just hearing another sales spill.
Within 3 weeks of sending my old torn sling “only holding on by 1 cm” Bob was able to make a perfect replica in a better material.
If anyone is going through the same pain I did for months, I honestly recommend to contact Bob from the Aussie Repairman which will be able to give you the advice you need and proven quality workmanship.

Bob, YOU ARE BRILLIANT !!!! The seats arrived and I have just spent 4 hours putting them on. I am slow as I needed to fix/clean the screws and holes.
and work out a system where I kept even tension when fitting the seat. I’ve got a very sore palm from using the screwdriver (don’t have an electric one) but the result . . . . PERFECT !!! Evenly tight tension and they look brand new.
